შექმნილი ანგარიში და მონაცემთა დამუშავება ხდება მომხმარებლის თანხმობით და ასოციაციის წესდების შესასრულებლად.
4. მონაცემთა შენახვის ვადა:
მონაცემები ინახება წევრობის განმავლობაში. გაუქმების შემთხვევაში მონაცემები წაიშლება 2 წლის განმავლობაში, თუ სხვა სამართლებრივი ვალდებულება არ არსებობს.
5. მონაცემთა დაცვა:
შენახული მონაცემები დაცულია ტექნიკური და ორგანიზაციული ზომებით:

The Georgian Economic Association acts as the controller of the personal data collected through this membership registration form. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the legislation of Georgia and, where applicable, in accordance with applicable EU data protection rules.
Membership Fee Policy
Only applicants selecting Full Membership are required to pay the applicable annual membership fee.
Applicants selecting a membership category that does not require payment are not subject to a membership fee.
Unless otherwise stated by the Association, membership fees paid for Full Membership are non-refundable.
If payment for Full Membership is not made within the required time, the Association may decline to confirm or may cancel Full Membership.
Where a reduced Full Membership rate applies, including for students based in Georgia, the Association may request proof of eligibility.
Personal Data Protection Policy – Membership Registration
1. What data we collect
During the membership registration process, we may collect the following personal data:
First name
Last name
Email address
Password
Website, if provided
Current employer, including name and country
Highest academic degree
Academic institution issuing the degree
Country of residence
Membership type, including whether Full Membership has been selected
Information on whether you are a student based in Georgia, where applicable
Academic interests in economics, including JEL-based selections and any information entered in the “Other field” box
Your choice on whether your name should appear on the GEA website
Your choice on whether you wish to receive occasional emails from GEA regarding its activities and matters related to your membership
2. Purpose of data use
The collected data is used only for the following purposes:
processing and administering membership registration
creating and maintaining your account and secure access
administering membership type and, where applicable, the fee for Full Membership
communicating with you about your membership and the Association’s activities
administering members’ professional and academic profile information
internally classifying academic interests and planning Association activities
publishing your name on the GEA website where you have chosen that option
sending occasional informational emails where you have chosen that option
complying with applicable legal, accounting, and administrative obligations
3. Legal basis for processing
Your personal data is processed, as applicable, on the following legal bases:
to take steps at your request and to process and administer your membership registration
to comply with legal obligations, including accounting, tax, and record-keeping requirements
for the legitimate interests of the Association in administering membership, managing accounts, and communicating with members, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights
on the basis of your consent, where you separately choose to have your name published on the website or to receive occasional informational emails
4. Who may receive the data
Your data will be accessible only to persons who need it for membership administration, including authorised staff, organisers, and service providers acting on behalf of the Association.
We do not sell your personal data.
If the Association uses third-party providers for hosting, email communications, technical support, payment processing, or website administration, such providers will process the data only as necessary to provide those services.
5. International data transfers
As the Association is established in Georgia, personal data will be processed in Georgia. If an applicant is located in the European Union or the European Economic Area, personal data may therefore be transferred outside the EU/EEA, subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards.
6. Data retention
Your personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
As a general rule:
data needed for account and membership administration will be kept for the duration of your membership
accounting and payment-related records may be retained for as long as required by applicable law
consent relating to publication of your name on the website will apply until you withdraw it or your membership ends
consent to receive informational emails will apply until you unsubscribe or withdraw it
after that, personal data will be deleted or anonymised unless further retention is required by law or necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims
7. Data protection
The Association applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including restricted access and reasonable security measures for stored data.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
request access to your personal data
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
request deletion of your data
request restriction of processing
object to certain processing
request data portability, where applicable
withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
